All Questions Great and Small
Every life winks into existence
With thousands of questions great and small.
Each one the brick of a mighty tower
Strong and sturdy and endlessly tall.
Some days are days for conversation,
And other days are not.
Some minutes are meant to be spent
In the silence of deep thought.
One moment is stacked on top of another
To form a great ladder known as time.
The world revolves, day turns to night,
Creating a slow and steady climb.
A swarm of swirling sorrows sometimes surround
And attempts are made to reach a new height.
At times it’s great labor to push down on every rung
But soon yesterday disappears from sight.
Looking up, tomorrow is surely there
Though it cant be seen through the thick haze.
With every step another question is answered
A constant passing of the days.
From the top of the tower the world is small
Under a sky that is brilliant and bright.
When all questions asked have answers below,
The soul of that life is gifted its flight.
I like your poem and this song. thanks b
