The Hard Road
Maybe I’m just looking for the hard road,
Looking for whatever road looks harder to travel
You take your low road, your blacktop, your pavement
Give me the blocked alley and the gravel.
I’ll be content to travel down it alone
If it takes me back to that place where I can feel
Because anything bad is better than nothing
As long as it is here, as long as it is real.
